Tabitha’s double hands her Swedish team 1st win
Malawian gifted women football export striker Tabitha Chawinga on Sunday struck a brace to help her Swedish team Kvarnsveden IK to its first victory after beating Djurgarden 2-1 in the Damallsvenska League.
Kvarnsveden IK had to come from behind after trailing 0-1 at interval. The win took them to position nine with four points from four games in the 12-member league.

In an interview, Chawinga described the victory as a turning point.
“We thank God for the victory, I hope we have now turned the corner as it has instilled confidence in us.
“It was quite disappointing to anchor the table. It wasn’t easy to come from a goal down because one of our defenders was shown the red card,” said Chawinga.
